Scientific developments: (i) CACSD techniques (symbolic computation); (ii) Real-time digital control (self-tuning, procedural knowledge sources); (iii) Alternative approaches to model construction and operation (reinforced learning, meta-modeling, behavioral frameworks); (iv) Static and dynamic neural networks in systems engineering (nonlinear identification and control, classification, recurrent architectures); (v) Event-driven dynamics (system-theoretic framework, deadlock control, flexible manufacturing); (vi) MATLAB-enabled Petri Net Toolbox (MathWorks); (vii) Qualitative theory of dynamical systems (techniques for diagonal stability, set invariance, structural properties - classes of differential / finite-difference systems: positive-, polytopic- , switching-linear, nonlinear with slope conditions).
