Abstract:

The project proposes the study of non-relativistic quantum particle located in pseudo-Gaussian potential. We name this obtained model as pseudo-Gaussian oscillator (PGO). Specific for this PGO model is it admits mixed energy spectrum. We find it is an extremely useful model for describing systems with mixed spectrum. We propose the following objectives: Solving Schrodinger equation with PGO potential by analytical method as well as by Dirac method, i.e. step operators algebra. This has an important theoretical value because reveals the Hamiltonian factorization with all known consequences from super symmetric quantum mechanics (SUSY-QM). Determination coherent states generated by PGO solutions are a second goal. The third objective is to present a generalized PGO potential with properties and classifications. It is a theoretical reason into this study. Finding a new exactly solvable potential for Schrodinger equation is always a challenge. The results of the research will be a contribution to the differential equations theory and differential algebra. We will present an application in the many body physics by calculating the coherent states. The model is a theoretic support opened for applications in nanotechnology and quantum chemistry. Proposals will be materialized in theories published as articles in ISI journals.
