Abstract:
The transformation of the current logistic system represents an essential action generated by the need to adapt it to the new specific requirements imposed by the role it has in the Romanian security matrix, by the need to ensure the necessary action capacities for the contribution to the defense of Romania and of its allies. Recent studies have revealed the fact that the efforts to re-engineer the logistic system are more efficient due to the implementation of advanced technologies in the most important domains of the knowledge based society: cybernetics, electronics, automatics, robotics, etc. Thus, one can appreciate that the introduction of industrial robots in logistics applications represents a consequence of the development of the military technologies in line with the desire to ensure the necessary materials and equipment to the combat structures, in the required quantities, at the established locations and at the right time. The implementation and development of flexible manufacturing cells equipped with industrial robots used in applications in the field of military logistics and the functionality of some optimum arhitectural variants of robots adequate for the desired applications, the conception, the modeling and the simulation of flexible cells with different organizations meant to make the logistic activities more efficient. This project takes into consideration the presented aspects and aims at: studying the capabilities of the logistic systems using flexible manufacturing cells equipped with industrial robots, conception, modeling, designing and implementing some robotic modules adequate for optimum serving of certain logistic activities, improving the didactic logistics of the Land Forces Academy by modernizing a laboratory of Advanced Logistics Technologies necessary both for the preparation of the students in the logistics specialization as well as for the MA students enrolled in the Management of the capabilities organization and Management and Technology programs.
