Abstract:
The grapevine is a very economical important crop for Romania, but the numerous pathogens (fungus, bacteria, viruses, mycoplasma) and climatic conditions can cause significant damages to grape production and, also, they may negatively influence the grapevine development cycle, reducing the incomes of growers. Given the favorable area for grapevine culture, this project aims to support the growers by creating the softwares that provide plants phytosanitary protection by effective implementation of phytosanitary treatments to combat Uncinula necator pathogen. The disease produced by this fungus, known as powdery mildew or oidium, is widely spred in in viticultural countries of the world. The fungus infects all green parts of the plant (shoots, leaves, clusters), culminating in the berries damage, which crack, dry and just can not be harvested. Generally, Vitis vinifera varieties are very susceptible to the fungus attack and the disease is controlled with many treatments with fungicides, increasing the vineyard maintenance costs. During the project, the implementation and application of GIS and SSD will improve the technological segments by establishing of some treatment schemes to prevent and combat the pathogen in vineyards, in order to reduce the phytosanitary treatments number and for their localized application. All these will lead to the healthy vineyard maintenance without negatively impacting of ecosystems in which they are located. The novelty of the project within the overall complex research vineyards, is the use of upgraded technologies, which use the latest developments in remote sensing image analysis with Deep Learning models.

Abstract:
The Bio-Gamma complex project proposes, in accordance with the PCCDI2017 program, the institutional development of a representative consortium dedicated to providing conditions for exploiting and improving partners' expertise in the field of gamma irradiation stimulation of bioactive compounds biosynthesis with applications in bioeconomy. Gamma rays-induced cellular stress is proved as a useful tool in manipulating secondary metabolite biosynthesis. By extracting and characterizing them, we can obtain useful compounds for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and special materials industries. The proposed activities ensure the partners sustainable institutional development and the valorization of their expertise in products, patentable and transferable technologies to the economic end-users. The project targets especially markets with high dynamics, as the ones of food and dietary supplements, thus subserving the priority field of Bioeconomy. Thinking about gamma irradiation as a central pillar, the project is proposed by a consortium of five institutions with complementary expertise and recognized for their scientific performance (two national research institutes, an Romanian Academy institute, a university and a research institute) with a good regional spread: Bucharest, Ilfov, Giurgiu, Arges and Cluj. Two of the institutions are potentially relaunching, and one is a newly built infrastructure. The joint project agenda provides conditions for the development of a collaborative perspective among partners, with a positive impact especially on institutions with a potential for relaunching. Hiring young researchers and assisting them in training courses will lead to an increase in the human resource quality of all consortium members. Regarding the institutions with the potential for relaunching, it will increase the level of competence and competitiveness, ensuring a consistent institutional development in the future, at both scientific and managerial level.

The complex project Increasing the institutional bioeconomic research capacity for innovative exploitation of local plant resources to obtain horticultural products with high added value comprises the following four projects:
Project 1."Complex electronic system with intelligent algorithms for data processing used for monitoring the developing conditions of water and biocenotic stresses, for warning about their presence and preventing them in horticulture"
Project 2."Multisensory quantification of water and biocenotic stress in horticulture through phytomonitoring and early warning in climate change conditions"
Project 3."Development of plant extracts and innovative phytosynthesized nanostructured mixtures with phytotherapeutical applications aimed at eliminating the biocenotic stress in horticultural crops"
Project 4."Innovative technologies for advanced processing of plant resources from pomiculture and viticulture"
The objectives of the project aim to develop the research capacity of the public organizations involved. Thus, upon the completion of the projects these organizations should meet the following outcome indicators: 1) employing new staff in research positions; 2)training the new and old employees through initial research training courses and specialist courses offered by each of the partners in their own field of competence (using the logistics of the learning resource centers); 3)obtaining new or significantly improved products/technologies/services; 4)structuring the offer for research and technological services and presenting it on the platform www.erris.gov.ro; 5)strengthening the capacity of the partner institutions through recovery strategies such as training programmes (research)/specialization programmes and visits (short-term); 6)offering and performing research services using the available research infrastructure; 7)creating a common programme for the learning resource centers, correlated with the institutional development plan of each partner
