Anna ADASHINSKAYA, PhD, is a postdoctoral researcher at the Romanian Centre for Russian Studies, the University of Bucharest. Between 2020 and 2021, she was a postdoctoral member of the ERC project Art Historiographies in Central and Eastern Europe. An Inquiry from the Perspective of Entangled Histories. She has completed her PhD in Medieval Studies at Central European University (Budapest-Vienna) with a dissertation on Practices of Ecclesiastic Foundation, Sponsorship, and Patronage. Her main research interests concern historical anthropology of the medieval Balkans and the interaction between historiography of the Medieval period and political narratives in the contemporary societies.
